TaoFunk is the concept of spreading the love and creativity of house music.
At its core is DJ and Producer Nicholas Maddix aka "Nickmatic." Based in New York City, Nickmatic finds his inspiration in a balance between following local DJs, performing live sets at home and abroad, and creating single and recurring events.
TaoFunk is the name for the creative output of this inspiration, exemplified by the union of the open-spirited philosophy of the Tao with the deeply human experience of truly enjoying funky music.
Nickmatic has been involved with music mixing and programming for approximately 7 years and brings both his technical acumen and musician's background to all facets of his work.
Nickmatic is available for performing live DJ sets, consulting on pro audio system design, and for programming mixed compilations for production.
